![]() It's x86 based and OnTap or Clustered Data On Tap is just the operating system that runs on the NetApp controllers. I am a former NetApp SE - the Filer or FAS is a great product and NetApp's primary product. I don't believe we have any massive performance requirement but it is really difficult to get any detailed performance info out of the XP, but from what I am seeing the current solution never goes above 50IOPS! I am looking at a clustered (dual controller) model with a 4x disk flash pool, and this will be replacing our existing NFS solution which consists of a Linux VM hosting an NFS mountpoint sat in front of an HP XP24K. The rest of our storage platform consists of HP XP24'S, HDS VSP's and HUS150's - I'm not being snobby about an entry level Netapp, I just don't have the experience with them that would allay these concerns.
